Cheetah Nails

These are the polishes I used for these nails. From left to right; Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Lightening, Sinful Colors Nail Art in Time Off, Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat.

Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE the Seche Vite Topcoat... Anyway, I get a lot of questions about how I do the cheetah designs on my sister's nails (because I can't do them on myself), so I decided I'd take some semi-detailed pictures to help with explaining the process.

STEP 1
Apply a base coat. Then apply two coats of the mint sorbet color. Let the color dry really good before trying to do any designs because otherwise it will bleed when you apply other colors.

STEP 2

Apply medium spots with the Lightening (yellow) color to the nails. They don't have to be perfect. But make sure they're spread out evenly...

STEP 3
Trace the edges with the black. You dont need to do a perfect job because the great thing about cheetah designs is that they are very forgiving in terms of making mistakes... You also don't need to go all the way around the dots, make every spot a little different. Add some small weird shapes to the empty spaces and youre done. Let this dry really really REALLY good and then apply a top coat (Use Seche Vite Fast Drying Topcoat..It's like $10 which may seem a little pricy but it is totally worth it).
